Chechen leader treats beating up Nikita Zhuravel for burning Koran down as heroic act

Ramzan Kadyrov has justified his son's beating of Nikita Zhuravel, accused for burning the Koran down, and said that it would have been good if Adam "had killed him." Everyone who has awarded Adam Kadyrov after beating the arrested person is rooting for their religion, the head of Chechnya has noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August, Nikita Zhuravel, a Volgograd resident, was beaten up at the SIZO (pre-trial prison). Kadyrov posted a video of the beating and praised his son for that. After this, Adam Kadyrov received the title of Hero of Chechnya and at least nine state and public awards, including in Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria.

The head of Chechnya has added that Adam Kadyrov "would treat it as an honour" to be punished for beating up Zhuravel.

"It would have been good if he had killed him there on the spot," Ramzan Kadyrov has stated in the video posted by Telegram channels, in particular, the "Baza" one.

He has also expressed gratitude to everyone who had awarded Adam Kadyrov after beating up Zhuravel.

Earlier, the experts on the Caucasus interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" disputed about the motives for awarding Adam Kadyrov.

Let us remind you that on November 5 it became known that the 16-year-old Adam Kadyrov was appointed the head of the security division of the head of Chechnya. He is also entrusted to be the curator of the Sheikh Mansur battalion.
