UN Secretary General calls for inquiry of terror acts in Abkhazia and punishment of those guilty

Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, has condemned the recent explosions in the territory of Abkhazia and called to hold an investigation of these incidents and bring the criminals to responsibility.

Mr Ban Ki-Moon has noted that these explosions took place at the background of a rapid growth of tension in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone. The UN leader has called to hold an immediate and thorough investigation of these incidents and make the demolitionists answerable.

We remind you that as a result of explosion on June 29 at the marketplace in Gagry, six local women suffered. At explosion in Sukhumi on June 30 also six persons suffered. After the explosion that thundered on July 6 in the city of Gal, Abkhazian district centre, four persons died in hospital, and six more are in grave condition.
