Acts of terror prevented in Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia

On August 16, a powerful explosive was detected near the Elborus dwelling settlement in Kabardino-Balkaria. A source in the law enforcement bodies of the Republic has informed journalists that the explosive was already liquidated by sappers.

The source has added that a self-made device of 15 kg was found by the workers of the district militia and OMON (Special Militia) some 300 meters off the hotel complex of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

As to Ingushetia, a terror act was prevented on August 17 in the territory of the oil refining factory; a source at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic has reported as follows: "At 07:30 a.m., a self-made explosive device was detected in the territory of the Karabulak Oil Refinery. It consisted of a "Mukha" grenade launcher and a clockwork."

The grenade launcher was placed 30 meters away from oil tanks. The self-made explosive device was neutralized by sappers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the neutralization, the workers of the factory were removed to a safe distance, the "Interfax" reports.
