Casualty of militiamen's shelling of a car was employee of Khasavyurt administration

The person, who was killed when militiamen opened fire at the car because the driver refused to obey them, was an employee of the security service of the administration of the city of Khasavyurt, and one of those wounded is an employee of law enforcement bodies.

The ICPO for Dagestan has started investigating the incident, which happened on February 15 in the vicinity of Khasavyurt. We remind you that yesterday, at about 9:30 p.m., 3 km off Osmanyurt village, a VAZ-21014 car did not stop when ordered by patrol militiamen. The militiamen first opened warning fire, then, fire for effect. As a result, one person was killed, and two more wounded.

"The casualty of the shelling was an employee of the security service of Khasavyurt administration, and one of the two wounded - an employee of the Khasavyurt ROVD," said Nizami Radzhabov, senior assistant of the head of the Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the ICPO.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the militiamen possessed information that a car of this model could transport participants of illegal armed formations. "When the car did not stop, it was a confirmation of suspicions. Therefore, they opened fire," a Khasavyurt ROVD on duty officer had earlier informed the "Interfax".

We remind you that on February 15, the counterterrorist operation regime was introduced in the Sergokala District of Dagestan. Until now, there is no data that the regime was cancelled, although the active phase of the operation is over. As a result of the special operation, three Kalashnikovs were found and two bombs were neutralized. The casualties have not been identified yet.
