Trial of participants of attack on Nalchik drags out in Kabardino-Balkaria

In Kabardino-Balkaria, the suit of the participants of the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, is protracted. According to defendants' relatives, many of them are already sick.

In the opinion of Mariam Akhmatova, mother of Eduard Mironov, a participant of the attack, the launched litigation has turned into a tiresome bother. If it continues like that further, many of the defendants can fail it. "They're all sick, but there's no chance to examine them or diagnose properly," the woman said.

The problem of the bodies of perished militants is still open; despite all the efforts of the relatives, they were not given out for burial, and there is no official information about their destiny.

Lydia Zhelikhazheva, whose son Alim Zhelikhazhev perished on October 13, 2005, is still coming every day to the building of the Republic's Prosecutor's Office and stands there together with other mothers who have also lost their sons. "Nobody has ever told us what they had done with the bodies. They gave one answer to the European Court, and another answer to us. And nobody tells the truth...," she said in distress.
