Derbent resident sentenced conditionally for extremist calls
A court in Derbent has sentenced a local resident to 1.5 years of conditional imprisonment for posting calls for extremist activities on religious grounds.
According to investigators, last December, the man posted extremist materials on the Telegram with public calls for violent actions against a group of people on religious grounds, the "Lezgi-Gazet" outlet writes.
The above resident of Derbent has pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to 1.5 years conditionally with a ban on engaging in activities related to administering websites for two years, the "Dagestanskaya Pravda" newspaper reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in July this year, in Buinaksk, Imamutdin Akaev, a resident of the village of Nizhneye Kazanische, was sentenced to two years' conditionally for public calls for extremism and murder of law enforcers.
