Arrest extension of Maykop woman for anti-SMO protest appealed against

The City Court of Maykop (the capital of Adygea) has extended the arrest of Tatiana Moskalenko, accused within a criminal case of calls for protests against the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine, by two months. Her advocate has appealed against the extension.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 18, the court arrested Moskalenko, accused of calling on the Internet for activities against the security of Russia. Tatiana Moskalenko is an activist of the "USSR Citizens"* movement, the human rights project "Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial" has informed.

The above court has extended Tatiana Moskalenko's custody by two months, the "OVD-Info"** project gas reported.

According to volunteers, Tatiana said that she had been charged with a video that "was addressed to the State Duma MPs." According to law enforcers, in social networks she called for protests against the SMO in Ukraine, to disrupt "mobilization activities" and to obstruct the work of military commissariats (registration and enlistment offices).

*In 2019, the Supreme Court of the Komi Republic recognized the "Union of Rus' Slavic Forces" (one of the group of movements that also includes "Citizens of the USSR") as an extremist organization.
