Persons accused of organizing military mutiny in Georgia plead guilty

The majority of the persons arrested for the mutiny at the military base of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia in Mukhrovani have recognized their guilt. This was reported by Gela Nikolaishvili, advocate of one of the defendants.

According to the advocate, 34 defendants out of 41 have completely admitted their guilt, and two more, including Levan Amiridze, who was wounded at detention, have done this partially.

Also according to the advocate, the remaining five defendants, accused of organizing the mutiny, Koba Kobaladze and Koba Otanadze among them, refused to plead guilty.

The interrogation of the defendants started on September 11. So far, only 4 out of 41 were interrogated. The trial will resume on September 14 at 11:00 a.m.; the interrogation of defendants will go on, the "Interfax" writes. The "Georgia Online" adds that the case is considered by Jemal Kopaliani, Judge of the Tbilisi City Court.
