Saakashvili is satisfied with his meeting with the opposition and calls to further dialogue

President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili asserts that the starting day of negotiations with the opposition is the victory day of Georgian democracy. In his opinion, today a step to civilized relations was made.

Saakashvili's negotiations with the opposition have passed today in Tbilisi in reply to the latter's demands. It was represented by Irakliy Alasaniya, Levan Gachechiladze, Kakha Shartava and Salome Zurabishvili. Apart of the President, the authorities were represented by Speaker of the Parliament David Bakradze and leaders of the parliamentary majority.

By the outcomes of the meeting, Mr Saakashvili has called oppositionists to go on with the dialogue. He has stated that at the meeting he moved his proposals to the non-parliamentary opposition, including a number of responsible positions, as the "Georgia Online" writes.

Irakliy Alasaniya, leader of the "Alliance for Georgia" has already expressed his readiness for the next meeting with the President. According to his story, "the future meeting should all the same take place, and the opposition should once again explain its position to the President the position."

Other oppositionists have regarded the meeting fruitless and get ready to scale up their protest actions.
