"Beslan Mothers" hope for cooperation with the new city newspaper

On July 1, the first issue of the newspaper named "Vestnik Beslana" (Beslan Mercury) appeared, where the administration of local self-government of Beslan is the founder.

Susanna Dudieva, Chairperson of the North-Ossetian Organization "Association of Victims of Terror Acts 'Beslan Mothers'", has expressed her confidence that the editorial board of the new newspaper of the Pravoberezhny District will give the victims a chance to express their opinion in the newspaper pages.

"The editorial board hasn't contacted us yet, but, I think, they'll give us a page. I hope they'll be more loyal to us than the newspaper "Zhizn Pravoberezhya" (Right-Hand Bank Life), which is already silencing all the problems of Beslan hostages, the problems of victims. From their pages they try to inflate more optimism into people," Susanna Dudieva, Chairperson of the "Beslan Mothers" Committee, said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to S. Dudieva, the editorial board of the "Zhizn Pravoberezhya" refused to publish a number of articles prepared by the Committee. "They remained as useless burden on the table of the editor. I hope with the new newspaper we'll have no problems of this sort," the Chairperson of the "Beslan Mothers" Committee believes.
