In Armenia, investigation is underway of attacks on Sarkisyan's election offices

The attacks on election offices of Serzh Sarkisyan, one of Armenian presidential candidates, committed on February 10 and 11, caused an investigation now underway within a criminal case initiated under point 1, part 2, Article 185 of the Criminal Code of the Republic Armenia. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it at the press service of the Armenian Police.

In the morning on February 11, Mr Sarkisyan's election office, located in Yerevan community Kanaker-Zeitun was attacked. Unknown persons threw a petrol bomb into the office of the presidential candidate. At night of February 10, Sarkisyan's office in Akhtanak village was attacked in a similar way.

On February 1, in another Yerevan community - Nor Nork - two election offices of Serzh Sarkisyan were swept from hunting weapons.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that on January 27 and February 1 attacks were made on election offices of Levon Ter-Petrosyan in Vanadzor, Armavir and in Yerevan community Malatia-Sebastia. According to Arman Musinyan, press secretary of Ter-Petrosyan's election office, these actions are obvious indications of the authorities' panic.

On January 25, an attack was made in Vanadzor, third country's city by population, on one of the election offices of another presidential candidate - Arthur Bagdasaryan.
