Adygea court sentenced Milkov to one-year imprisonment

The Maikop City Court has sentenced Victor Milkov, accused of disseminating a video depicting the scene of execution of residents of Dagestan and Tajikistan. The appointed punishment is a year of freedom deprivation with serving the term in free settlement.

The court has cancelled the previous verdict - recognizance not to live. Milkov was arrested right in the courtroom.

Being asked by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, whether the verdict will be challenged, the convict's mother answered that it would be made by all means.

Anatoly Gorgulin, Judge of the Maikop City Court, has agreed with the opinion that this kind of offences is treated by the law as "minor crimes." Still, as he noted, with account of all the circumstances, it remains very serious.

The announced verdict gave analysis of the materials placed on the website. The scenes depicted in the video were regarded as propaganda materials calling to interethnic enmity. As a whole, the selection of publications was of fascist character, which, after all, is a threat to the state.

Valentina Andrianova, defendant's advocate, without denying that placement of a video on the website means its dissemination, has noted, that her client had done it by thoughtlessness.
