"Imedi" TV Channel broadcasts through strong noise
The Georgian "Imedi" TV Company, which restarted its broadcasting after a month-long forced break in the evening on December 12, is broadcasts to the regions of Georgia with strong jams.
"Purely technical losses suffered by the "Imedi" TV because of the pogrom committed by the authorities exceed 1 million US dollars. The TV Company has also suffered essential personnel losses. Within the month after the stop of the TV Company popular authors and journalists - Inga Grigoliya, Eka Khoperiya, Maya Asatiani, Teya Adeishvili and Keti Kvachantiradze - left the television. There are losses among technicians too. Temur Khubulava, who had practically built the whole television studio with his own hands, left the Company. It was a huge loss for us," Bidzina Baratashvili, Director General of the "Imedi" TV Company, has stated in his interview to the "Resonansi" newspaper.
Mr Baratashvili has assured that despite all adversities, the TV Channel is capable to continue its normal operation.
