Resident of Kabardino-Balkaria dies by jumping down from the fourth floor of the UBOP building

Zeitun Gaev, 29, a resident of Gerpegezh village, who was detained on November 15, died in Kabardino-Balkaria. According to employees of the UBOP (Department for Fighting Organized Crime) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), his death was a result of his jump that he undertook in the course of interrogation from the fourth floor of the UBOP building. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from informal sources.

We remind you that on November 15, in Kabardino-Balkaria, in a suburb of Nalchik, militiamen detained a car with two young men, aged 29 and 19 - residents of Gerpegezh village. The young man of 19 was released since he turned out to be an occasional fellow traveller of the car driver Zeitun Gaev.

The sources from the MIA of the KBR have informed that the following was found inside the car: two grenades with fuses, twenty 7.62 mm rounds, a radio station, batteries, 4 kg of aluminium powder, 30 m of black polyethylene film, two cellular phones, construction dowels, an autonomous diesel generator, round-pointed shovels, 30 m of electric cable, seven pairs of woollen gloves, 7 kg of fresh meat, 5 kg of smoked fish and 12 kg of cheese.

Yesterday, on November 16, all the efforts of human rights activists to achieve that an advocate were admitted to the detained Gaev failed: the advocate was not admitted. In the evening it became known that Gaev who was suspected of complicity with terrorists died. His relatives are going to apply to the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR.
