Case against Beslan power agents can be reconsidered

Today, after their meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia, the women of Beslan left the North Ossetian SC building. Ms. Anneta Gadieva, co-chair of the "Beslan Mothers" Committee, has reported the news by telephone.

"We are satisfied with the outcomes of the meeting. The Chairman has reviewed the ruling passed by the Supreme Court and said that it has certain procedural mistakes, which should be eliminated, therefore, the complaint will be sent to the Leninskiy Court for objective considered and passing a lawful decision. That is, a new court composition should reconsider the case after elimination of the mistakes and pass a lawful ruling. This is what he told us. It brings hope that the ruling of the Leninskiy Court can be recognized again, and then if the General Prosecutor's Office files a cassation complaint, the Supreme Court will have nothing to find fault with," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes Ms. Gadieva.

Should the ruling of the Leninskiy Court be re-enacted, the victims of the Beslan terror act will get an opportunity to demand to bring the members of the operative headquarters for rescuing the hostages that had acted in Beslan on September 1-3, 2004, to criminal liability.
