"MK" has erroneously accused physical culture teacher of seizing Beslan school
Ruslan Demilkhanov, whose photo was published by the "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" newspaper with a comment that he is "a good sniper" and 33rd militant allegedly attracted by Yunus Matsiev to capturing Beslan school on September 1, 2004, "shot from nothing more than a children's catapult." Abas Osmaev, a friend of Demilkhanov family, told the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot."
The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that on December 25, 2006, the "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" ("MK") newspaper published an article "33rd Beslan Militant." The author wrote about Yunus Matsiev from Starye Atagi, whose name was mentioned on December 22, 2006, by Alexander Torshin, head of the parliamentary commission for investigating Beslan events, who referenced him as a hiding linkman of the militants who seized the school and Basaev's personal bodyguard. The observer of the "MK" placed a photo in the paper showing, in the words of Abas Osmaev, Ruslan Demilkhanov, and expressed a supposition that it was a photo of Yunus Matsiev.
Mr. Osmaev asserts that Ruslan Demilkhanov and Yunus Matsiev have never met each other.
Ruslan Demilkhanov, in the words of Abas Osmaev who knows him quite well and collaborates with the human rights organization "Society of Russian-Chechen Friendship," has never participated in armed actions in the territory of the Chechen Republic. For several recent years, he has been teaching physical culture at the school in Starye Atagi. The photograph placed in the "MK" has just pictured a group of teachers in school premises.
So far, the Demilkhanovs have no problems with law enforcement bodies because of the "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" publication, but they worry that they are possible.
