Evkurov: Prosecutor's Office does not interfere with investigation of Evloev's murder

The Prosecutor's Office does not put any obstacles in the course of inquiry into the murder case of Magomed Evloev, owner of the oppositional website "Ingushetia.Ru". This was stated by President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

"There were attempts to show that the Republic's Public Prosecutor deliberately protracts the investigation of this murder, but this is not the case. There were incorrectly made documents, he sent them back, now they are OK, and the process goes on," Mr Evkurov told journalists in his interview.

"Those who deserve punishment, first of all, the one who made a casual shot, should be punished," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes President Evkurov as saying.

Yunus-Bek Evkurov has added that, in his opinion, the investigation was accompanied by violations of the law. The President refused to clarify what violations he meant but assured that "now it's all OK there." The leader of Ingushetia has emphasized that he does not interfere with the process of investigation, and that advocates, not presidents, should speak about violations, as the edition named "Utro.Ru" reports.
