In Makhachkala, power agents block three streets

Today, starting from 5 a.m., three streets - Makhmudova, Mursalova and Khizroeva - in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, have been blocked by numerous armed law enforcement agents and armoured troop-carriers with decocooned machine guns.

A local resident named Pakhrudin Azizov, who lives in Makhmudovа Street, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that when he tried to go out of his house, a militiamen has loudly ordered him to come back inside.

"No explanations followed," the man continued. The whole Azizov's family was blocked in the house: he and his wife could not get to their workplaces, and children - to school and kindergarten. Same was with their neighbours.
No comments were given by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, apart from the statement that they "know nothing about what happens," as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
