Kabardino-Balkaria sets up commission to investigate bus accident in Krasnodar Territory
In Kabardino-Balkaria, an interdepartmental commission has been set up to investigate the reasons of the accident of the Moscow-Nalchik passenger bus that took place on the Kavkaz Federal Highway last Sunday, on October 19.
The commission includes representatives from the Ministries of Transport, Communications and Roads, and Public Health, Centre of Accidental Medicine, Department of the State Inspectorate for Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) and Department of Road Supervision of the KBR. The commission will investigate the reasons of the accident to prevent any similar situations in the future, reports the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent with reference to official sources in Kabardino-Balkaria.
President of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov has condoled with the victims' families. An opportunity is considered of rendering material aid to families of the casualties and victims.
We remind you that the accident of the Moscow-Nalchik bus, as a result of which three persons died (later one more died in hospital) and over 30 passengers received various traumas, happened on October 19 at about 7:40 a.m. in the Gulkevichi District of the Krasnodar Territory on the Kavkaz Federal Highway.
The Renault-Prestige route bus lost its steering capacity, drove off the Federal Highway and ran into a tree. The law enforcement bodies are conducting their investigatory actions. According to preliminary data, the bus lost its steering capacity.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Ministry of Transport of Kabardino-Balkaria, the bus belonged to individual entrepreneur Kochesokov from the city of Baksan, and his son was driving the bus. A preliminary examination (by the logbook) has shown that the bus had passed its technical control, made by the organization called "Elborus-Autoservice".
