Georgia to recall almost all its diplomats from Moscow

Georgia will recall almost all its diplomats from Moscow and leave only two persons at the Embassy, Ekaterina Tkeshelashvili, head of Georgian MFA, said today.

Earlier today, Timur Yakobashvili, State Minister of Georgia for Reintegration, has stated that Georgia would bring the interstate relations with Russia down to minimum. As he said, Tbilisi is going "to seriously reduce diplomatic relations with Russia, down to consuls or envoys."

Mr Yakobashvili said today that within the next few days Georgian leadership would study the expediency of breaking relations with Russia. He has noted that "with account of so many Georgians living in Russia, the breakage can be ruled out," the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Let us note here that according to a source in Russian MFA, Russia is not going to cut down its staff at Russian Embassy in Tbilisi, as this Agency adds.
