In their today's joint statement, the NATO members-states have confirmed their condemnation of Russia's decision to recognize Abkhazia's and South Ossetia's independence and addressed Russia with a demand to revise it, the Reuters reports.

Dmitri Rogozin, Russia's permanent representative at the NATO, made his comments on this statement and declared that no revision is possible. In response, he urged the members of the Alliance to revise their decisions on recognition of Kosovo's independence, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Let us note here that Russia is shortly going to exchange notes with Abkhazia and South Ossetia on setting up diplomatic relations. A source in Russian MFA told the "Interfax" that Dmitri Medvedev had instructed them to establish diplomatic relations with both republics.
