Putin orders to lift all visa restrictions for Georgian citizens

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, has instructed the government to start consultations on admission of Georgian goods to the Russian market and on cancelling visa restrictions for citizens of Georgia.

The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation runs that the federal bodies of the executive power were instructed to take steps to cancel all the remaining visa restrictions related to Georgian citizens, to speed-up the reconstruction of the "Verkhniy Lars" border checkpoint, and to start bilateral expert's consultations on the problems of access of Georgian goods to the Russian market.

We remind you that from April 21 on all the post offices in Russia will start accepting all types of mail items to be sent by air to Georgia, including the express mail sent by the EMS Mail of Russia and money postal orders.

Let us note here that Georgia and Russia have already resumed the marine and air communication between the two countries.
