Advocate reports poor health condition after surgery of Zaripov, convicted of appealing to Kadyrov
Zakhar Zaripov, convicted of appealing to the head of Chechnya, is feeling poor after the surgery he underwent for his stage four cancer, but despite this, he is being prepared for transfer to the SIZO (pre-trial prison). The defence's motions to transfer Zaripov to house arrest remained unanswered.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 16, it became known that Zaripov was hospitalized from the SIZO.
It is possible to oppose Zaripov's return to the SIZO by legal means only within the framework of changing his freedom restriction measure, but there has been no response to the advocate's appeals to the court and the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), his advocate, Konstantin Bubon, has reported on the Facebook*.
Let us remind you that on April 1, the court sentenced Zaripov to five years for his public appeal to the head of Chechnya. A linguistic examination found in Zaripov's post signs of "incitement to an armed seizure of power with the aim of violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation." In August, Zaripov's advocate reported that his client had been diagnosed with cancer. In September, Zakhar's relatives said that his disease was progressing, but the SIZO failed to provide him with any efficient treatment.
