Zarema Musaeva transferred to Grozny SIZO
Zarema Musaeva, in volved as a defendant in a new case on an attack on a law enforcer, has been transferred to a SIZO (pre-trial prison) in Grozny. The woman uses crutches to walk, but is not taken to hospital.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Zarema Musaeva is suspected of attacking a prison warder who accompanied her to a hospital for medical treatment. According to the woman’s version, she did not commit any attack on anyone.
The defence of Zarema Musaeva does not associate the initiation of the new case with the new motion for conditional early relief, the “Team Against Torture”* reported.
Zarema Musaeva is under “special attention” from the law enforcement bodies, and it is possible that she was provoked in order to use some incident against her, advocate Timofey Shirokov stated.
“They were looking for a pretext, and perhaps they were provoking her. In theory, it is possible that she could feel unwell and, while falling, hit the warder,” the advocate noted.
The defender suggested possible scenarios for the incident. “The first option, if we assume that this is indeed what happened, then there is some interest on the part of the administration in turning the situation into a crime. And the second version: some kind of fight took place there,” Timofey Shirokov explained.
Let us remind you that on June 27, the Shali City Court dismissed the motion for the conditional early relief (CER) of Zarema Musaeva for the second time.
*The “Team against Torture” (TaT, formerly the “Committee against Torture” – CaT) was created by the lawyers who had earlier worked for the CaT, which was included into the register of the NCOs performing the functions of foreign agents.
