Murder of Kortikov family investigated in Ingushetia

The law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia continue investigating the incident in the city of Karabulak, where on October 15 as a result of shelling two local Russian-speaking residents were killed and two more persons wounded.

A source in the law enforcement bodies of the Republic has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that among possible versions of the murder the investigation considers an attempt to destabilize the situation, and also a murder on some common domestic grounds. Currently, the actions are undertaken to establish and detain the persons involved in this crime.

"The law enforcement bodies are undertaking a complex of measures directed towards establishment and detention of the persons involved in this crime. The eyewitnesses of the incident have already been interrogated. According to their evidences, the attack on the Kortikov family was committed by a group of culprits who moved in cars models VAZ-2107 and VAZ-2110 of white and silvery colours. So far, the personalities of the criminals have not been established. Their search continues," the source said.

The investigators also do not exclude that the Kortikovs could be murdered by the same group that had earlier attacked other Russian-speaking families.
