Investigators reports law enforcer's detention in connection with Djabrailov's death

The commander of a unit of the patrol regiment, who used violence against Akhmed Djabrailov, the detained participant in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine, has been detained within the case of abuse of office and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in their appeal to Vladimir Putin, Akhmed Djabrailov's parents, Ismail Djabrailov and Khadizhat Gasanova, stated that those involved in their son's death were trying to avoid responsibility. On August 13, Khadizhat Gasanova again appealed to Putin and asked him to take the case under his personal control. On August 16, she reproached Sergey Melikov, the head of Dagestan, for no reaction to the death of her son, who had returned from the SMO zone only a week before, where he served in the "Akhmat" Special Force Unit.

According to investigators, on July 9, 2024, a 48-year-old local resident was brought to the police station in Makhachkala for disturbing the public order, against whom the suspected law enforcer used physical violence, including the use of special means. The policeman struck him multiple times with his hands and feet, as a result of which the man died. The law enforcer was detained.

Let us remind you that in January 2023, at the same police station, Kurban Dalgatov, a Makhachkala resident, died after being detained. A total of 13 policemen have been charged with involvement in his death.
