Kuban resident accused of discrediting Russian Army

The Gelendjik City Court has received a criminal case opened against Vasily Romanyuta, accused of discrediting Russian militaries.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 4, 2022, it became known that a court in Krasnodar had fined Vasily Romanyuta by 30,000 roubles for holding a solo picket near the monument to security agents with a poster containing the word "The Hague". He was accused under the administrative article on discrediting the Russian Army. Vasily then refused to plead guilty.

Now, the Gelendjik City Court has received Vasily Romanyuta's case about repeated discrediting of the Russian Army, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has informed in its website.

"We are probably talking about Vasily Romanyuta, a resident of Kuban (Krasnodar Territory), who was fined by 30,000 roubles in November 2022 ... Whether he is now at large and what he is charged with as 'repeated discrediting' is unknown," the publication says.
