Three policemen arrested under death case of detainee Dalgatov

A court in Makhachkala has tightened the freedom restriction measure for three policemen, who had been under house arrest within the death case of the detainee Kurban Dalgatov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 22, 2024, investigators announced 13 defendants within the case of Dalgatov's death. On March 11, it became known about the arrest of Arsen Abdulkadirov, a former deputy head of the criminal investigation division of the Sovietsky ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala.

Kurban Dalgatov died on January 20, 2023, after he was taken to a Makhachkala police station. Relatives have claimed that he died of asphyxiation after "electric shocks to his heart."

Under the ruling of the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala, the policemen, Bolat Medjidov, Nazhmudin Chupanov and Magomedshapi Magomedshapiev were placed in custody, the "Chernovik" outlet has reported.

Let us remind you that on January 15, the court placed two policemen, Muslim Kerimov and Magomedshapi Magomedshapiev, under house arrest under the case of Dalgatov's death. The court took into account that one of them has dependent disabled parents, and the other took part in some combat actions.

The next day, the court placed another operative agent of the Sovietsky ROVD under house arrest. At the same time, on February 3 it became known that the decision to place Muslim Kerimov under house arrest had been cancelled.
