Kabardino-Balkarian teenager apologizes for his video criticizing Koran

Khazrataly Dzasezhev, the chair of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kabardino-Balkaria, has talked to a teenager who made a video with derogatory statements about the Koran. After the conversation, the teenager has apologized for his offense.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Kabardino-Balkaria reported a meeting with teenagers who “spoke derogatorily about the Holy Koran.” In its Telegram channel, the SAM of Kabardino-Balkaria reported that the meeting was also attended by teenagers’ parents, law enforcement officers, and elders.

“Khazrataly Olievich Dzasezhev, the chair of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kabardino-Balkaria, has admonished the teenagers. He has pointed out that they have committed an immoral act that discredits not only the teenagers themselves, but also the entire republic,” the SAM of Kabardino-Balkaria reported. In turn, the teenagers “asked for forgiveness from all Muslim believers and said that they sincerely regretted what they did.”

The teenager, whose video provoked the described situation, has apologized “to all believers, to all Muslims.”
