Gakaevs reconcile with family of the man accused of killing Mullah
The reconciliation of relatives of Turpal-Ali Shamurzaev, accused of killing the Mullah, Abdurakhim Gakaev, and the latter's family occurred in the village of Kadi-Yurt, a resident of the Gudermes District has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives of the man accused of killing Abdurakhim Gakaev stated that they were disgraced by their relative's actions and expressed a desire to reconcile with the casualty's relatives; earlier they publicly asked his relatives for forgiveness.
A Telegram channel oppositional to Chechen authorities has reported that several months before the murder, the suspect recorded a video appeal, in which he declared his fight against witches and asked to bring this appeal to Ramzan Kadyrov.
The reconciliation of the families of Turpal-Ali Shamurzaev and Abdurakhim Gakaev took place in the village of Kadi-Yurt, where Gakaev lived and where he was buried. According to one of the residents of the Gudermes District, not only the suspect's relatives and his fellow villagers arrived there, but also residents of nearby dwelling settlements of the Gudermes District.
The experts on the Caucasus and human rights defenders interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe that the alleged killer looked like an unhealthy person who mistook a far-fetched motive for a guide to action. According to their version, the crime was caused by the general atmosphere of cruelty in Chechnya.
