After New Year performance, culture house staff fired in Kuban
Several employees of the culture house located in the Scherbinovsky District of Kuban (Krasnodar Territory) have been fired after actors in a New Year performance imitated sex in front of spectators with children.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 9, the placement of a video with a high school student dancing in a Snow Maiden costume aroused discontent among residents of the Dinsky District, who complained to the authorities about LGBT* propaganda.
After the above New Year performance in the presence of children, during which the actors imitated sex, policemen have launched an investigation, The RIA "Novosti" has reported.
According to an official from the Shabelskoye village administration, the above performance took place at the local culture house on December 31. The poster for the show indicated the age limit of 18+. Some of the employees of the culture house have been fired, the official has added, noting that despite the age limit, spectators came to the performance with children.
The Prosecutor's Office (PO) of the Krasnodar Territory has launched an investigation, the "Kommersant-Kuban" has reported with reference to the PO's press service.
According to eyewitnesses, during the performance, the Snow Maiden and Father Frost imitated sex intercourse behind a screen.
During the performance, the creative team "improvised at their own discretion", the press service of the district administration has stated.
*On November 30, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation declared the movement an "extremist organization" and banned the "international public movement of LGBT people". With this decision, the court satisfied the claim of the Russian Ministry of Justice, sent to the court on November 17, 2023.
