Grozny woman detained for practicing witchcraft
In Grozny, the police detained local resident Roza Tsaralieva, after which Adam Elzhurkaev, the chief of the Centre for Islamic Medicine, reprimanded the woman for practicing the occult services, follows from a report released by the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company).
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that since July 2019, persecution of residents for practicing the occult services has intensified in Chechnya. The “Grozny” ChGTRK regularly releases reports in which local residents repent of practicing witchcraft. On October 29, 2022, the police detained Khasukha Suliev, a resident of the Gudermes District, after which Adam Elzhurkaev reprimanded him for practicing the occult services.
“In Grozny, the law enforcement bodies detained a swindler who provided occult services. The swindler was identified thanks to her neighbours who were tired of constant quarrels in her apartment,” the “Grozny” ChGTRK reports on its page on Instagram*.
Roza Tsaralieva was most often approached by people who requested her to help improve their financial condition and health state. “Adam Elzhurkaev, the chief of the Centre for Islamic Medicine, talked to the ‘sorceress.’ He has explained how big a sin she commits from the point of view of religion. In addition, the woman kept all the personal data of her clients, so it was not difficult for the law enforcement bodies to find those people. Adam Elzhurkaev also talked to several of them,” the “Grozny” ChGTRK reports.
Let us remind you that in 2013, in Chechnya, dozens of people were detained during the fight against magicians and sorcerers, announced by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, and some of them went missing.
