Remark to neighbours turns into protocol "on discrediting" against Krasnodar woman

In Krasnodar, law enforcers have drawn up a protocol on discrediting Russian militaries against Elena Kurochkina, a local resident, who reprimanded her neighbours for weaving camouflage nets for militaries in the children's playground.

According to investigators, in August this year, Kurochkina's neighbours were weaving camouflage nets for the Russian Army while sitting in the children's playground. She made a remark to them; and the video with their dispute was posted on the Internet.

According to the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project, Alexei Avanesyan, a lawyer, has noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Krasnodar had rejected the defence's request for the appointment of a linguistic expertise, stating that part of townspeople had unambiguously accepted Kurochkina's statements. The advocate has pointed out that "part of townspeople" cannot replace experts, and that the MIA failed to specify which part of townspeople was offended.

"There was a domestic conflict at the children's sports playground – one woman believes that it is intended for children; others consider it a priority to weave camouflage nets there ... The question is who is engaged in 'discrediting;, if it took place here at all?" the advocate has asked.

Let us remind you that a court in Krasnodar had fined Pavel Karpenko by 10,000 roubles for a picket held near the administration building, during which the activist held a poster criticizing President Putin. Law enforcers also drew up two protocols on discrediting the Russian Army against Karpenko.
