Former military man from Vladikavkaz fined for discrediting Russian army
Konstantin Yefremov, a former commander of a motorized rifle division stationed in Chechnya, who left Russia, was fined in absentia in Vladikavkaz. A court recognized his interview to the “Gulagu.net” human rights project about the actions of Russian militaries in Ukraine as discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
The Industrial District Court of Vladikavkaz reports on its official website that a video with the Konstantin Yefremov’s interview was discovered during Internet monitoring by employees of the Centre for Combating Extremism. It is noted that Konstantin Yefremov has left Russia and stays in the United States now.
In the video posted on the YouTube channel of the “Gulagu.net” human rights project, Konstantin Yefremov said that he stayed in the special military operation zone in the period from February 27 to May 27, 2022, and spoke about what he had witnessed.
Konstantin Yefremov travelled through several countries, spent more than a month and a half in a Texas deportation centre for illegal migrants, and then court released him, the “Gulagu.net” human rights project reports on its Telegram channel.
