After Khalidov's detention in Chechnya, his advocate files complaints against law enforcers
Chechen policemen would not tell advocates about the whereabouts of Yasin Khalidov, who was detained while trying to leave for Kazakhstan. Alexander Nemov, an advocate, has filed complaints about his client's disappearance after Khalidov's detention.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the 19-year-old Yasin Khalidov was detained at a car checkpoint in the Omsk Region while trying to cross the Russian-Kazakh border. Earlier, he tried to quit his service so as not to return to the special military operation (SMO) zone. Human rights defenders are convinced that Khalidov is in danger while staying in Chechnya.
Alexander Nemov and Alexander Karavaev, the advocates, arrived in Chechnya on May 24; but they were unable to meet their client, as the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) failed to tell them about his whereabouts, the "Novaya Gazeta" has written.
Tumso Abdurakhmanov, a Chechen blogger, has also written in his Telegram channel that nothing is known about Khalidov's fate.
