First groups of mobilized people depart from cities of Southern Russia

First groups of those mobilized have left Makhachkala, Kaspiysk and Krasnodar. In the Volgograd Region, collection points for the mobilized servicemen are organized in local houses of culture. The governor of the Stavropol Territory has reported that the first group will be sent to Ukraine on September 23.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Dagestan and two districts of the Krasnodar Territory, military commissars have forbidden those who are subject to mobilization to leave their dwelling settlements. After the announcement of mobilization, lines of conscripts can be seen near the military commissariats in Derbent and Chechnya. Today, residents of the Babayurt District have blocked the federal highway in protest against the mobilization.

The first buses with the mobilized people have departed from Makhachkala, the "Baza" Telegram channel has reported.

The administration of the city of Kaspiysk has reported today that the first group of mobilized people was sent to the republic's collection centre.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that protest actions against the mobilization were held in Volgograd and Krasnodar; and law enforcers also stopped the protest rally in Grozny. In total, more than 1300 people have been detained at street protests in 39 Russian cities, human rights defenders have counted.
