Oppositionists block MFA building in Yerevan

Today, since early morning, the Armenian opposition has resumed protest actions in Yerevan. Activists have blocked the government building, where the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is located.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since April 25, in Armenia, the opposition has been holding protests demanding the resignation of the country's Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, after he agreed to "lower the bar" on the Karabakh issue. On May 23, oppositionists held a march in Yerevan, calling on the townspeople to join protests.

Today, from early morning, in Yerevan, the Armenian opposition has resumed its disobedience actions, demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan and his government, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who watched the live broadcast on the "Yerkir.am", has reported.

Opposition supporters have marched from France Square along the central streets of Yerevan. Having reached Vazgen Sargsyan Street, demonstrators blocked the entrances and exits of the country's MFA building, which is located in the government building.

Ishkhan Sagatelyan, a Vice Speaker of the Parliament, has called on townspeople to join protests and block the entrances and exits of state institutions. It is necessary to paralyze the work of the state structures, whose work is contrary to Armenia's interests, Mr Sagatelyan has stated.
