Putin's press secretary treats mutual criticism with Kadyrov as friendly

The mutual criticism in the polemic with the head of Chechnya is friendly, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, has assured.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 3, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that Peskov had failed to comment on Kadyrov's promotion to the rank of lieutenant general. In Kadyrov versus Peskov correspondence debate political analysts saw signs of confrontation in Russia's top political circles.

Today, in answer to journalists' question about how he treats Kadyrov's criticism on him, Mr Peskov spoke about his good relations with the head of Chechnya.

"Kadyrov and I are on very good terms and in the course of our communication we sometimes criticize each other in a friendly manner," the TASS has quoted Dmitry Peskov as stating.

Let us remind you that earlier Peskov expressed soft criticism on Kadyrov. Thus, on January 25, in reaction to Kadyrov's statement that if he had been Russian president, he "would have taken Ukraine long ago," Peskov pointed out that Kadyrov has no authority to interfere in Russia's foreign policy.
