Stavropol student fined for poster at lecture
The Zheleznovodsk City Court has fined a student of a local technical school by 40,000 roubles for a poster discrediting militaries that he raised during a lecture.
The 18-year-old young man, not named by the police, was found guilty under the article on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, the Branch for the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed.
"It has been established that during the educational process, the young man had publicly demonstrated a poster with a defamatory slogan. He didn't voice out any appeals," reads a message posted on April 13 on the Branch's website.
There were no comments from the student or his representatives regarding the judgement.
