Kadyrov's dispute with Peskov arouses political analysts' interest

The opinion of Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, about the departure of public figures from Russia because of the special military operation in Ukraine, the sharp reaction thereto of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the exchange of remarks about patriotism indicate confrontation in Russia's top political circles, political analysts believe.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 3, Kadyrov expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that Dmitry Peskov, the presidential press secretary, gave no comment on Kadyrov's promotion to the rank of lieutenant general, while he stood up for the TV presenter, Ivan Urgant, who left Russia on vacation and then returned; Peskov called him "a great patriot."

Now, Kadyrov needs not to be forgotten, Alexei Malashenko, a Caucasian expert, has explained. Sometimes it seems that Kadyrov has some adviser from Kremlin circles, who prompts him to speak out on certain issues, the expert has added.

According to Malashenko, "there is no single line in relation to those who have left Russia."

The Kadyrov vs Peskov tension has a long history, said Evgeny Minchenko, the president of the "Minchenko Consulting" Holding.

Let us remind you that on February 27, Kadyrov criticized the Russian military leadership for the slowness and inefficiency of their attacks in Ukraine.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov pointed out that Ramzan Kadyrov had no authority to interfere in Russia's foreign policy.
