Head of Ingushetia informs about death of republic's natives in Ukraine

Servicemen from Ingushetia have perished during the special operation in Ukraine; all the festive events in the republic have been cancelled, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the military operation of Russian troops in Ukraine began in the morning on February 24. On February 26, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, reported that Nurmagomed Gadjimagomedov, an officer and a native of the Kulinsky District, was killed during the special operation in Ukraine. There, two natives of Chechnya perished; four others were wounded, Ramzan Kadyrov said on March 1. The head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Kazbek Kokov, informed about the death of four natives of the republic in Ukraine.

The message about the death of natives of Ingushetia was posted on March 1 by the head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov. "Ingushetia has suffered the first military losses. Our countrymen died in the line of duty during the special operation to protect Donbass," he wrote in his Instagram page.

The message fails to specify the death toll; however, media explained, citing Kalimatov's message on the Instagram, that four natives of the republic have perished.

In Ingushetia, all festive events have been cancelled due to the death of its military servicemen in Donbass during the special operation, the "Ingushetia" newspaper writes. "Funerals are being held; and there is mourning in the republic," Mr Kalimatov has stated.
