Kadyrov announces Russian spending on Chechnya
The Russian government allocates 300 billion roubles a year for supporting Chechnya; the republic won't hold "even a month" without Moscow's support, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2021, Dagestan and Chechnya were among the largest recipients of budget transfers in Russia.
According to Kadyrov, some Russian politicians say that Chechnya fails to obey to federal authorities and laws; however, he "is obeys to the president like no one else."
Kadyrov has also noted that there is "neither gas, nor power and nor oil" in the territory of Chechnya.
"We won't survive without Russia. If they offer us something else, let them write an economic model for us," he has added.
