Kadyrov draws parallels between Kazakhstan and Chechnya

Ramzan Kadyrov has reacted to the events in Kazakhstan, by urging the protesters against the authorities there to behave peacefully and not to destroy their state. Kadyrov has stated this during a live broadcast with Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, on the lord_095 page on the Instagram.

"Why did they need these (protests)? Because of gas prices, people go out - they kill and destroy," Kadyrov has noted.

He has compared the start of military conflicts in Chechnya with what is happening now in Kazakhstan. "We know what war is like. We know what rallies are like. We, like you today, were brought to military events. After that, we had two military campaigns. We lost hundreds of thousands of people; we still have missing persons; people were split into teips, virds and families. This was done not by Chechens, not by the (people) living in Chechnya, but by agents of special services of different states. And they had the task of destroying the sovereign state of Russia through ruining the Chechen Republic," the head of Chechnya has stated.

Ramzan Kadyrov has appealed to protesters in Kazakhstan urging them to behave as peacefully as possible, not to destroy the state and the economy. "We ask everyone to think better ... so that they avoid making mistakes, so that they stop, and not bring the situation to military events," Kadyrov said and added that should there be a change of power in Kazakhstan, it will take "decades" for the country to return to its current economic situation.
