An excavator blown up by a mine in Karabakh conflict zone

An anti-tank mine exploded in the Agdam District of Azerbaijan during the works on the ground, and an excavator driver was not injured, the Prosecutor’s Office reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the Agdam District came under the control of Azerbaijan on November 20, 2020, in accordance with the agreements of November 10, 2020 signed by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan. On June 12, 2021, Armenia handed over maps of minefields in the Agdam District to Azerbaijan in exchange for the return of 15 prisoners of war (POWs).

While working in the village of Bash Gervend in the Agdam District of Azerbaijan, an excavator was blown up by an anti-tank mine. Excavator driver Vurgun Mamedov was not injured, the excavator was damaged, the “Report” agency reports.

Earlier, on November 15, Zaur Isa Agaev, an 41-year-old resident of the village of Tezekand in the Agdam District, was blown up by a mine while grazing cattle and died. On December 29, while working in the Agdam District, Anar Ragimli, an employee of the mobile communications company, got a gunshot wound.
