Kokoity refuses to take part in PA NATO workshop in Georgia

On April 20, Merab Antadze, Georgian State Minister for Conflict-Settlement and head of the Georgian part of the MCC, sent a letter to his South-Ossetian MCC counterpart and First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO), in which president of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity was invited to the 65th workshop "Rous-Rout" PA NATO to be held in Tbilisi.

A letter in response has emphasized impossibility for the South-Ossetian president to take part "in any events of this sort held in the territory of Georgia until Georgia has recognized the genocide of Ossetian people and independence of Republic of South Ossetia."
