Fighters of "Kadyrov" regiment beat up "Spartak" fans
During the break in the Russian Premier League (RPL) football of "Akhmat" FC versus Moscow "Spartak" FC that took place in Grozny, servicemen of the regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov beat up two fans of the Moscow team with truncheons.
A video of the incident was posted in the Telegram channel named "Visiting Notes". The fans of the Moscow team were beaten up after one of them had insulted Allah, the "Gazeta.ru" has reported citing its sources.
The spokesman of the Akhmat Kadyrov regiment has refuted the information about the beating. "There was a small skirmish. Nobody beat them; they were simply taken away from the stadium," the "Sports.ru" has quoted him as saying.
Alexander Meitin, RPL's security director, said that the man against whom law enforcers used force behaved inappropriately; he used obscene language in the toilet and shouted ethnic insults at the local fans.
However, the video posted on the "OnlineOnTour" Telegram channel casts doubt on Meitin's version. It shows a man lying on the floor, who is beaten up by people in the uniform of the Akhmat Kadyrov regiment. While being beaten up, the man rendered no resistance.
