“Edinaya Rossiya” Party wins parliamentary elections in Chechnya
In Chechnya, the “Edinaya Rossiya” (United Russia) Party won 89.2% of the votes in the parliamentary elections, ahead of the “Spravedlivaya Rossiya” (Fair Russia) Party and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Central Election Commission reported.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 17-19, the voting took place in the elections to the State Duma. Chechnya also held the direct election for the leader of the republic, elections to the parliament and the City Duma of Grozny. Ramzan Kadyrov won 99.63% of the votes in the election for the leader of Chechnya, the election commission reported after processing 53.88% of the protocols.
The “Edinaya Rossiya” Party won 89.20% of the votes in the elections to the Chechen parliament, the Central Election Commission (CEC) reported after processing 100% of the protocols.
According to the CEC, the second place in the elections to the Chechen parliament was won by the “Spravedlivaya Rossiya-Patriots-For the Truth” Party, which gained 5.59% of the votes, and the third place went to the CPRF with 5.16% of the votes, the TASS reports.
