Three residents of Ingushetia detained in case on aiding and abetting militants
Three men supplied food to members of the armed underground and transported them in cars across the territory of Ingushetia, investigators reported. One of the three detainees is suspected of illegal possession of weapons.
The detained residents of the republic are 25, 35, and 40 years old. According to the investigators’ version, in 2011-2015, the men helped people being aware they were militants. In the village of Plievo in the Nazran District, militants handed over a pistol to one of the suspects, and he then kept it at home. The police found the pistol on July 14, the investigators reported.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on July 13, another resident of Ingushetia was suspected of a similar crime. According to the investigators’ version, in 2014-2015, he provided food and transport to members of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and also kept a bomb and a grenade at home.
