One person killed in a shootout with law enforcers in Ingushetia

A car driver was shot dead in Nazran after he put up armed resistance to law enforcers, law enforcement sources have reported.

The incident took place on April 28 at 6:30 p.m. Moscow time in an outskirt of Nazran, near the North-Ossetian-Ingush border. Law enforcers stopped a tinted Toyota Camry car aiming to inspect it. The driver rendered armed resistance and was killed by return fire, the "Interfax" writes citing a source familiar with the situation.

A source from the regional law enforcement bodies, who is quoted by the RIA "Novosti", has reported that a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) was killed in the shootout.

According to preliminary information, the casualty was a resident of the village of Kantyshevo, who had earlier been put on the wanted list.
