Ingush activists support their fellow countrymen near court in Yessentuki
About ten residents of Ingushetia came to the building of the Essentuki City Court to support the leaders of the Ingush protest. Among them were activists who had already served their sentences in the case on the rally in Magas.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since November 24, the case against seven protest leaders in Ingushetia, who are accused of creating an extremist community, is being considered in the Stavropol Territory.
On March 26, 2019, residents of Ingushetia continued their protest rally in Magas without a sanction from the authorities. In the morning on March 27, protesters clashed with the police. Starting since the early April of 2019, mass arrests of oppositionists took place in Ingushetia. According to the calculations run by "Caucasian Knot", at least 96 activists were prosecuted.
Today, a rally of support for the defendants in the case on the protests in Ingushetia has taken place in front of the Essentuki City Court. On his Facebook, Bagaudin Myakiev, one of the protesters, has posted today a photo of eight persons with the flag of Ingushetia in front of the courthouse.
"We are holding not a picket, but something like a flash mob, a support group. About 10 people are involved, and they are Ingush natives. The police react calmly, they do not approach the activists, since they do not have any posters in their hands and do not chant any slogans," noted Bagaudin Myakiev as quoted by the "Fortanga.Org".
